Guide Dogs
My class have been very busy after coming back from the Christmas holidays and have decided that instead of having a class pet, we would like to sponser a guide dog, therefore we have done lots of activities were we have found out how hard it would be to be blind, through trying to get dressed, eating and pouring our own drinks whilst being blindfolded.
We also invited Nathan who works for Guide Dogs for the Blind to come into school and talk about his dog Bess and also Melanie Richards who was able to show us all the different gadgets you can use if your blind to help you. We all loved cuddling Bess and finding out about what she does every day to help Nathan.

Raising money
Children in the class were also asked to fill a jam jar with money to raise money for the Guide Dogs and some of us have been working very hard at home by doing chores to raise the money.
As a class we have raised £55.00 for "Guide Dogs for the Blind"
